The amazing thing about rooibos tea is not just the colour, flavour, or health benefits of the herb, but rather the fact that it is only located and grown in the Cederberg in South Africa.
As an indigenous species that’s only found in a very limited area in the south-west of South Africa, it’s an unusual plant which the world – and science – is only beginning to understand.
